CARDINAL HUME SCHOOL

PROJECT SUMMARY

This extension project entailed a hot rolled portal frame construction utilising the ORCA LGS system to infill the wall panel gaps between the hot rolled columns and beams and the parapet wall to the flat roof.

The striking modern building design used coloured rainscreen cladding and coloured aluminium windows.
As the school was in use during construction the project team operated under working hour restrictions; the speed of the LGS mitigated these restrictions and allowed the project to finish ahead of what would have been possible with traditional methods.

This project was manufactured offsite at the ORCA North Shields facility.
